We are announcing our next show, the second annual DC Fashion Photographer’s Exhibition! Last years show was cited in DCist as one of the “top events” in DC during DC Foto Week and attended by over 200 people. We had outstanding work exhibited by photographers Bo Zhang, and Vadim Zee among others. We have changed the date to coordinate with DC Fashion Week, when there will be many fashionistas in town.

You are invited to submit your work for this FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY photo show! It is the part of our 2010/2011 monthly photography exhibition season, and part of a series featuring urban, fashion, dance and figurative photography exhibits.

This show is now an annual event, and the best work at exhibited at the fashion photography show will be exhibited at future pop-up gallery exhibits we are planning in the Mid-Atlantic region and of course at our annual show during DC Fotoweek in November.

Participating in this exhibit will help you to prepare for major local art events, network at our reception and gallery lectures, as well as learn more about gallery practices and professional presentation of your artwork.

Submission Guidelines:

Content may be any image in the realm of fashion photography, and winners will be selected based on the following selection criterion: 1) overall best image, 2) concept and 3) technical merit. The exhibit will be judged by three individuals with background in the fashion and photography industry who will be announced shortly. The top 3 selections in each category will receive a complementary shoot at the Carriage House studio during the 60 days following the exhibit. Participants whose work is not selected will also have their work displayed on a wide-screen display.

All images must be received by 11 pm on Mon, September 13th. You may send up to 4 jpegs (1200 px x 1200 px max) for consideration.
