OPEN HOUSE: Haiti Benefit – Jan 29th

Category: Miscadmin @ 1:31 am

Are you passionate about photography and/or dance? If so, come join us this Friday night as we hold a benefit for the Red Cross Relief Fund at the Carriage House Studio and Gallery.

We are inviting dancers, musicians, photographers, and other artists to come to this event to support the relief efforts to support this country and its people.

We will feature Haitian music (troubadour, reggae, all types) contributed by our members some of who have visited Haiti, or in some cases have family there. If you know Haitian music, you will understand why we want to have a dance jam session!

We are looking for solo, improvisational dancers, professional or amateur to participate. We will have music and theater/photographic lights set up for photographers to capture the moment!

In addition to our regular Open House activities (see below) we will have a brief presentation on Haitian photography.

The first hour (7 -8) we will have our regular monthly update including:

- social networking with other creatives (photographers, make up artists, models, etc…)

- update on future studio workshops and gallery activities

Starting at 8 we will get the music, dance and photography going…

For those that are interested, the upstairs studio (with internet and monitor), will be open for those who are interested in participating in a portfolio critique.

Light refreshments will be provided. Contributions of food and drink are welcome!

Please RSVP at info@dcphotocoop.com to be put on the guest list. You must be 21 to attend this event.
